The generator set is indispensable during power outages and works well in single-family houses, as well as offices and production plants. Small stand-alone and chassis-built generators with a capacity of several tens of kVA are available for rent, as well as G3-class generators producing 1 MW of power. The power of the generator should be 20% higher than the total power of all devices that we want to connect to it. If the generator set is too weak, there is a risk of damage to the generator and all devices powered by it. For the house you can rent a single-phase unit, but for production plants and larger facilities it is better to opt for a three-phase unit. Importantly, when choosing a generator for rent, you need to carefully check its technical condition – the device should be operational and regularly serviced. Rental prices are very different and often depend not only on the rental period, but also the need for delivery to the indicated address and additional assembly service.

Buying or renting a unit?

Renting is a good solution in a situation where the generator set is needed only for a certain time or at one time. An excellent example of this is the service of outdoor events or the construction of a house. The purchase of the generator is usually related to the construction of an emergency power supply infrastructure for buildings, which allows to protect against the negative effects of power outages and ensure the continuity of operation of production plants, hospitals, outpatient clinics or server rooms. Power supply is also necessary in industrial automation systems and in various security systems.
