High Voltage load banks – LBHV
The dynamic development of the Polish and global energy market has increased the demand for new and more complicated devices, which is why we have expanded the scope of our services to include the production of LBhv series loaders, i.e. medium and higher voltage resistors with 3MW-20MW and more. Such devices come in two variants – with a built-in voltage reducing transformer, as well as high voltage resistors.
In the High Voltage Load Bank with a voltage reducing transformer, the resistors used operate at a voltage up to 1kV, e.g. the tested 5MW generator with a voltage of 6.3 kV supplies the built-in 6.3/0 .6kV transformer. By lowering the voltage, it is much easier to control the power, as well as reduce the cost of building a complicated device. Another undoubted advantage is that it finds its application in both low and medium voltages.
In the second option, in load banks or high voltage resistors, there is no transformer designed to lower the voltage, but they are used for simple applications such as: periodic tests of transformers, generating sets, or new or old generation of wind farms, where we do not need precise power regulation.
Such devices are available in container enclosures in the IP class allowing to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, the housing can be made in the standard of marine containers from 10 to 40ft, which facilitates their transport.
